POSITION SUMMARY:

The CFO Services Accountant is responsible for providing outsourced accounting solutions for a variety of clients. This includes processing accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll, as well as coding transactions and running financial reports. The Accountant will need to balance demands of multiple clients and will often work directly at client sites.

We are looking for a talented and motivated ACCOUNTANT to join our growing team in our DAYTON location.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the accounts payable process including, vendor management, invoice entry, payment processing

Manages accounts receivable including timely and accurate invoicing, cash application, collections

Enters all expenses into project management and accounting systems with proper classification

Monitors cash position and future cash requirements

Maintains the chart of accounts and all general ledger activities

Completes month-end accounting close with account reconciliations and financial statement reporting

Completes budget vs. actual variance analysis

Performs all client payroll activities including on-boarding/off-boarding employees, maintenance of employee pay and withholdings, benefit administration, submission of all weekly payroll hours, and tax remittances

Reviews historical information and other research items when processing and completing work assignments

Assists staff with record-keeping and receipt collection

Assists with administrative and facility activities as needed

Learns the functionality of QuickBooks Online, as well as various other accounting software that clients utilize

Works productively with minimal oversight as well as an ability to work from remote, client, and in-office work locations as needed

Problem-solves and works with client staff members to find missing data and work through issues.

Elevates any issues to their immediate supervisor, and provide recommendations for potential solutions in a timely manner

Connects clients with other Practice Line Leaders and solutions to meet and exceed client expectations

Meets or exceeds annual chargeable hours goal

Manages personal schedule to meet the deadlines and demands of multiple clients

Participates in Firm committees and activities

Promotes the Firm positively in the community and through professional organizations involvement

Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience

Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks, and Intacct

Valid Driver’s license and/or access to transportation to various client locations, up to 1 hour from the home office location

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple client engagements

Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with both internal and external team members, as well as external client relationships

Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

Proven ability to work individually and/or collaboratively within a team setting

Demonstrated client relationship management as well as collaboratively within a team setting

Open to constant learning and training from other team members due to the ongoing diversity of client engagements

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Process oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
