Katie is a Sr. Manager in Brixey & Meyer’s Human Resource Services practice, where she helps lead and grow the firm’s HR and Talent presence in Columbus. She advises executives and leadership teams on building the leadership capability, talent strategies, and organizational systems needed to support sustained growth.
Katie brings more than 15 years of experience working with organizations across healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, startup, and Fortune 500 environments. Her work focuses on fractional HR leadership, leadership development, succession planning, executive coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
Before joining Brixey & Meyer, Katie held leadership and consulting roles with Boston Children’s Hospital, Exact Sciences, KPMG, Cardinal Health, Armstrong World Industries, and General Mills. Across her career, she has worked closely with senior leaders to strengthen leadership pipelines, align teams, and build organizations that are better equipped to grow and adapt.
Katie is especially energized by working with growing organizations at key inflection points, when the business has evolved, and leadership capability and internal systems need to catch up. She is known for helping leaders bring clarity, structure, and alignment to the people side of growth.
Katie is passionate about helping people grow into roles where they can thrive and lead with confidence. She especially enjoys mentoring, coaching, and supporting others through meaningful growth and transition points in their careers.
One of the most common patterns I see in growing organizations is that the business often scales faster than its leaders and people systems do. Investing early in leader capability, talent systems, and clear people strategies can make growth much more sustainable and much less painful.
Katie is the kind of person who genuinely enjoys solving messy organizational puzzles and figuring out why teams and leaders get stuck so they can reach their full potential.
Katie lives in the Columbus area with her husband, their two kids, and a small menagerie of pets. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors with her family, and exploring new ideas related to leadership, psychology, and how organizations work.
